Local Area
Located less than 5 miles from downtown Freeport and L.L. Bean, and just 30 minutes to Portland – there’s plenty of adventure for everyone, just a short drive from the campground. The unique coastal Maine village of Freeport is one of the top visitor destinations in the state – with good reason! You can experience world-class outlet and boutique shopping, incredible dining experiences, and much more!
Freeport is a true shopping destination! L.L.Bean’s Flagship store is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are also hundreds of outlet stores and fabulous restaurants to choose from – check out the link below for more info!
Looking for a little sand and surf? There are several sandy beaches about an hour’s drive of the campground.
Reid State Park
Famous for its wide, long sandy beaches, Reid State Park is a favorite of many of our campers. Overlooking nearby islands and lighthouses, the park features rare sand dunes home to endangered terns and many other species of shorebirds.
Popham Beach State Park
With three miles of sand and surf, Popham Beach State Park has one of Maine’s nicest and longest beaches. Fun fact: The land for this gorgeous park was donated to the state by the Smith Family, the same family who donated the land for the farm and campground!
Old Orchard Beach
With seven miles of beach and a lively carnival-like atmosphere, Old Orchard Beach attracts many families looking to combine beach time with other activities.
